ADA-compliant chair height is a minimum of 17 inches (43.18 cm) and a maximum of 19 inches (48.26 cm) from the finish floor to the top of the toilet seat. Standard height toilets are typically 14 to 15 inches (35.5 to 38.1 cm) in height.
Chair height or seat height refers to the distance from the floor to the top of the toilet seat. An ADA-compliant toilet seat must be between 17 inches / 43.18 cm (minimum) and 19 inches / 48.26 cm (maximum) above the finished floor. Delta toilets are ADA-compliant to make sitting down and standing back up easier.
High-efficiency toilet (HET) is a term that describes a toilet that flushes 20 percent less than the U.S. maximum of 1.6 gallons per flush (6.05 Lpf). This equates to an average 1.28 gallons per flush (4.845 Lpf). Delta toilets qualify as high-efficiency toilets.
The WaterSense program is a voluntary partnership program sponsored by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that is designed to encourage water efficiency in the U.S. through the use of a special label on consumer products. In order to carry the WaterSense label, a toilet must use 4.845 litres per flush (Lpf) or less per flush and remove at least 350 grams of waste as measured by third-party MaP testing. The purpose of WaterSense labeling is to make it easy for consumers to identify products that save water yet do not require a lifestyle change. Delta toilets are WaterSense labeled.

Delta toilets are WaterSense® labeled with a high-efficiency flush rate of 4.845 litres per flush (Lpf). Delta toilets rate 10 out of 10 when it comes to flushing power, evacuating more than 1000 grams of waste in one flush [based on maximum performance (MaP) industry testing standard].
Delta toilets are sold with tank lever handles, fill valves, flappers and seats. Some components are standard while others are unique to Delta models. Because Delta toilets are engineered to meet exacting standards, we recommend using only genuine Delta replacement parts.
